Day 19 - Friendship

I think every parent worries about their children having friends or more importantly having the right type of friends. I worry about Makayla because she can be a bit shy and is the youngest kid in her class, but as far as we can tell at this point she seems to be doing just fine!  I also worry about Connor and remember thinking what if Connor doesn't have any friends of his own. Well I was so wrong about that because Connor has a very busy social life and has some amazing friends.

First of all is Jack who came to visit Connor at least once a week for the first few months when he came home from the hospital. Jack is the son of two of our best friends, Mel & Luke. He is just 9 months older than Connor. They have been very supportive along the way and Connor loves to hang out with Jack.

One of Connor's best buddies is Ty!  Ty is just 2 months younger than Connor and they love to play together We attend 2 different playgroups together and they visit each other's house once in a while. Connor & Ty's friendship grew stronger when our families walked 7 long miles together on a cool, rainy day in NSTAR's walk for Children's Hospital. I look forward to seeing their friendship grow as they get older.

Connor also met his good buddy Ryan through our playgroups.  They are just getting to know each other but have lots of fun playing together.

There is also Lily! I think they will all be fighting for her attention as they get older =)  She is such a cutie!

And these are just a few of Connor's friends. He is very social and loves to smile so he seems to make new friends everywhere we go. We started taking a Kindermusik class and he has made some fantastic friends there as well as some new friends during Makayla's gymnastics class. He is one lucky kid because everyone loves him =)
